When I click on a link, IE shuts down completely...no error message or
anything. The only way I can get them to work is to hold down the control
key when I click on the link. This is frustrating as he**. Can some body
give me some helo?

Hi,
From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced> uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions."
If that helps, another program is causing the problem.
Note: you should re-enable browser extensions after resolving the problem.

Then... this sounds like a pop-up blocker or some other security program is
malfunctioning. Disable any program that might be causing this, including
third-party toolbars or other add-ons to IE.

Or it might be a malware issue.Work through the solutions (CWShredder,
Ad-aware, Spybot) at

page.
