Linking table error in 2002, SP 2

I am trying to link tables from our AS400 financial
system. I have successfully linked hundreds of tables, so
the ODBC setup seems correct. But on one table I receive
an error and Access shuts down. The error reads:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10
\MSACCESS.EXE
abnormal program termination

The only option is then to click okay and Access shuts
down.

Any ideas on what is causing this and how to correct it?

I have found that I can link/query the tables through
either MSQuery or Excel's database query function (that I
think uses MSQuery).
