Debug Error

Sahil

Hi,

I am working on MS Access 2003, the problem I face is
that whenever I want to view the code and open the VB
Editor, Access give me Debug Error. The message box pops
up with a Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library (it also
gives the path of the MSACCESS.EXE file located in my
system). When I click on the Ignore button, it gives me a
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error with a message
as "abnormal program termination". Can anyone help me
understand what's wrong and also if there is any solution
to this. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Sahil.

Plenty of people have reported this error, but it looks like few have
pinpointed specific causes. You may want to read the following Web pages
for problems others have encountered:

MS KB Article for Access 2002 "Run-Time Error Message When You
Programmatically Set PaperSize Property"

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?id=287473

Other Access users reported seeing this error when a certain VBA procedure
was run. Please see:

http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?hl=en&lr=&th=8a4328b8d53fbcf0&rnum=15

Several Access users reported seeing this error when attempting to reset a
report's record source in VBA code after it was opened. One user reported
this error in Access 2003 when the Access 97 runtime was also installed on
the same computer.

Other than that, I would recommend that you make sure that you have the
latest service packs, Microsoft Office 2003 SP-1, Jet 4.0 SP-8, MDAC 2.8
SP-1, and SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE) SP-3a, installed on the
computer.

If you find a solution, please post it so that others may benefit from your
experience.

HTH.
