Visual C++ Debug Library error

I have 2 users getting the same error when they try to use the Visual Basic
editor within Access 2003, SP1. One user is on WinXP SP2 the other user is
on Win Server 2003. This occurs whether the Visual Basic editor is opened
first and then the file is opened or vice versa.

Either way, when either user tries to make an editing change in the editor,
the following error message comes up -

Title - Visual C++ Debug Library - Debug Error
Debug Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\MSACCESS.EXE

Abnormal program termination

(Sometimes, randomly, it will say "runtime error" instead of "Debug error")

This happens for all files. A question came up - would installing Visual
Studio solve this problem?

Hi Rebecca,

I do not have an answer for you at this point in time, however I am also
experiencing this problem. We are currently upgrading Access in our
department, and after I converted some Access 97 databases to 2002-2003
format, I received the error you mentioned below nearly every time I enter
the VB code.

Will post here if/when we find an answer.

Try a decompile

Or try importing into a new MDB.

I'm getting the same error and haven't found any solution. Has anyone found a
fix for this?

Hi all,
In addition to the C++ problem, I couldn't create Reports on Access 2003.
I fixed both problems by changing the default printer. Was an HP Laserjet
4Plus printer/driver, and now it isn't.
