Linking Outlook with ISP email account

I've tried to set up my Outlook to receive my Cox email and I keep running
into a problem when I "TEST ACCOUNT SETTINGS", it tests the settings, when
it get to log onto incoming mail server and the "Enter Network Password"
dialog box comes up - all the info is entered correctly,but the box keeps
reappearing, don't get wrong User name or passwork message - dialog box just
keeps cycling after I click "OK".

Error message comes back that : "Log onto incoming email server (POP3):
Outlook could not connect to incoming POP3 mail server because the server did
not accept your user name or password."

I also tried linking to my gmail account and came up with the same
problem... so not sure what's up. I'm using the correct login and password
for my account

Any ideas?

Thanks for the info. Turns out the problem was with my cox account and now
the setup is working.
