Hi,

I work for a company where we would like to remove the standard design
templates that are displayed for PowerPoint 2003 when you view Slide Design.

i.e. The only template we want available is the one we have produced and
force users to open initially. We do not want users to select a different
slide design.

Does anyone how to do this - there is no delete option on the individual
design templates. Also there does not seem to be any 'Path' option available
via the front end/code/registry which I could re-set so that the standard
design templates are not displayed.

Thanks

Andy

If this template resides on some sort of network server, the easiest way to
do this is to create a shortcut on everyone's desktop to that template.
Have them name the shortcut "Our PowerPoint" so they know what it is. This
will always use this template when PowerPoint is opened.

Nup sorry, I just tried this and it didn't work as expected. The
templates are easily removed but the Blank Template isn't as easy to
budge. I need a bit of time to figure that one out!

The blank template's built into PPT, but if you create your own default
template, you can override it.

Create a default "blank" presentation with your own defaults
