Licensing and Permissions

I have two issues. The first happens on several servers
and we can't pinpoint why. We change the licensing mode to
Per Seat on all of our servers. Occasionally, when adding
licenses through the llsmgr, it will appear to add, show
the agreement, but no licenses will be added. Very seldom
does the problem correct itself when re-service packing
the server. I have tried resetting the license manager
information as described in article 153140, with no
success. Has anyone encountered and fixed this problem?

The other issue that I'm having is with an error in my
System Event log. It is event ID 1000, Source: userenv,
which is common to several errors. This one states that
Windows cannot create the profile directory Login.pds and
will use a local temporary directory for my profile:
Access Denied. I am on a domain, setting up a member
server with the administrator account. It also refuses to
start services that are setup to use a user account rather
than the system account to run.

First Issue:
Disable the License Logging Service as a test, and see if your behavior
changes.

Second Issue:
Check the share the profiles are pointed at, and make sure the user has
access to the shares and files. Most of the time Access Denied or Access is
Denied is actually permissions related. I'd start there. :)
