New Win 2000 server terminal service setup

I just begun trying to setup terminal services for a win 2000 server. I'm
using it to launch an application upon logon. I seem to be on the right
track. I have the license terminal activated, but no license info entered.
I have successfully set up a win 2000 client that has established a
connection even without license info entered. I can't get an XP Home client
setup. It is disconnected by terminal server when it tries to connect.
Terminal Server indicates it can not issue license. Why can it issue license
to win 2000 client and not XP client? Where do I obtain the license number
info to enter? I purchased a 20 CAL but I don't see any appropriate number
to enter in the package. There is only an agreement.

Your W2k client doesn't need a license, as far as I know, since this is
W2000 TS and not 2003. I suspect your TS licensing server isn't working
correctly as you haven't set up your CALs therein. I don't remember the
exact steps for that, but you might post in
microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services for more specific help.
