Hi Im new to all these forum things. My Norton Anti Virus keeps detecting a virus everytime I turn my PC on. It comes up in a red warning box.

It is li.exe file that is a trojan virus but it can't delete it, can't be quarentined and I can't delete it when I locate it in my files; windows/system32 I beleive it is in. A full system scan doesn't pick it up either.

Im still on Norton Ver 2002 to be updated to Ver 2006 next week. Would that detect it/delete it?

Any ideas how to rid it as I don't know what it is doing to my PC, if anything. There are no obvious signs.

Thanks

Both these files will need to be deleted.

C:\Windows\System32\li.exe
C:\winstall.exe

if either are not found run an on-line scanner such as Housecall

Symantec & Norton have lost favour with me ... Try the free AntiVir http://www.free-av.com/

I can't find winstall.exe. And can't delete li.exe.

Spybot can't find anything wrong.

When I try to download free-av the page expires.

How do I download Spywareblaster and CCleaner.

I already have Ad-aware and that didn't pick anything up.

Help.
