Windows xp/Lexmark Z35

Can anyone tell me why when I Print my addresses on an
envelope the black ink has red (has red blotches) More
red than black. When I print a document it fine. In Black
ink. The Problem is when I print my addresses on an
envelope.

Windows xp
 
Check the printer manual. Often, because an envelope is much thicker than a
single piece of paper, the print head position must be changed by manually
moving a lever.
