Let me know if you are still seeing Signature Issues

I wanted to step back and make sure we have the signature updating mechanism
in place and working for all the beta testers. To make sure we are firing in
all cylinders, I am asking any user to let me know if signatures are not
downloading and installing for them. One caveat is that users behind SUS or
WSUS servers may be running into issues set by their system admins, so I
cannot help there. However, home users and others not behind corporate
update servers please let me know your signature woes (if any). My contact
information is above; just drop the "online" from the email.

Home User, WIN XP (home ed), SP-2. I have had NO problems with signature
update installations on 5 PC's. Of the 5 PC's I use two daily. The two used
by me are set to notify that a WD update is available. Many times I wait a
day before I download and install the update.

Steve - Any guesstimate on the next WD beta release.

Why were there no definitions this week, or last, for MS Antispyware
Beta1?
Last update was June 29.
I understood MSAS was good til July 31. I have seen no info in the
private
beta newsgroups, or elsewhere, to the contrary. I wanted to stick with
MSAS
until the expiration on 7/31/2006. Has it indeed expired already?

Thank you for any clarification on this,
-jen

Steve - I have two pc's on a home network which initially had problems
updating. However, for the last several times the updates have been perfect
on both pc's. It appears whatever was wrong (at least in my case) has been
fully corrected. Also, some are complaining about the System Restore points
- I seem to only get one or two per day - not bad in my opinion. Appreciate
all your help and concern - thanks!

I'm a home user using Window XP Media Center 2005 with Multiple User account
and Using Microsoft Update.

On dial-up Window Defender never update signature automatically when
available.

automatic update signature only work when restarting computer or when
turning off automatic update and turning it on again. This does not work all
the time either.

Yes, Definition updates = signature updates in my post. Old habits are hard
to break.

Sorry, my reply was attached to the wrong thread, the one above this one.
Have had no problems at all over the last few weeks, updating via
WindowsUpdate on my home computer. Happy to see that the problems seem to
have been solved.
