Left side Start Menu Blank and Profile corrupt

We have a AD Domain with 500 computers. On our XP machines that get affected
it takes the affected user 15 minutes to login. When it is complete the user
cannot run any program and the left side of the start menu is blank. To fix
it I have to delete their profile and recreate it. This method works but is
time consuming. Is there a fix anyone knows about or what is even causing
this problem. I have searched the web and cannot find anything. Any help
would be appreciated. I suspected Symantec Antivirus 10 but symantec has not
heard of this problem.

FolderRedirector and TweakUI
Both are great for this.

The problem is the ntuser files get corrupt and I cannot chack them, my
question is what is causeing this and how do I fix it. Thanks for the
response though
