Latest Security Threats

We are running a web server on an IIS 5.0, Windows 2000 Server platform. We currently (10/17/03) installed the following latest security/critical updates from Microsoft: KB828035, KB825119, KB826232, KB823182, KB824141. Directly after this, our customers could not list the contents of their webs while attempting to add hyperlinks in their documents through Microsoft Front Page (2000, 2002). By backing off KB828035 from that server, the web site contents came back. As we need to provide the most secure environment for our clientele as well as offering Front Page functionality, please inform us of any workaround.

I have all of the updates you have indicated installed on my Windows 2000
server as well, and I am not seeing any problems with FP2000 or FP2002
connection to the server.

However, I am not running the FP2002 extensions or the IIS lockdown on the
server, so if you are running either, that may be another area for you to
look at.

PS Do you also have 813489 installed
- if so try http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;823720
