Last good configuration not working

My last good configuration is not working. I can not boot XP in
normal mode, last good, or any type of safe mode.

Is there a way for me to edit a file and make XP load a
configuration prior to the one it thinks is the last good one?

When vines grow they do not have branches the way a tree does they
have long flexible things called tendrils.

Here is what my Random House Webster's Unabridged Dictionary CDROM
says:

a threadlike, leafless organ of climbing plants, often growing in
spiral form, which attaches itself to or twines round some other
body, so as to support the plant.
