I don't know of tests but anecdotally, I have laser printed stuff from
about 1990 that is still fine (admittedly that is black only). Colour
prints that I have made in the last 5/6 years also seem to last much
better than inkjet, I have a feeling that the output from my solid ink
machine fades faster than laser but slower than inkjet.
In general, no. In fact, they are usually quite stable. Most laser
toners are made from a mixture of pigments and thermal plastics grown
into a very fine power. They tend to be fairly resistant to fading.
Yellow is usually the most fugitive.
In my opinion, Laser Toner is more color-fast than most dye-based inks.
It probably compares favorably with fading of chemically-processed
photographs. It may not be as good as the best pigment-based inks, but I
don't know of any specific tests that have been done.
