Using Word 2000, I have created a template for minutes of
meeting. I have a page header (table) with a logo type
(bitmap) inserted in a cell. The file size when saved is
more than 1 MB. If I instead either delete the logo from
the page head, or open a blank document and insert the
logo in the "body part" of the document, the file size
decreases significantly (less than 100 KB). Any hints?

I have a similar problem with Word 2002 XP.
It appears when a file is saved using Word 2002 XP, then re-opened and saved
using another earlier version of Word, then the file size is significantly
reduced.
Anyone else experienced this and is there a solution?
Roger
