Logo image becomes dithered when converting to PDF

I've read all the current threads on this issue, but was not able to find a
suitable solution. Source file for logo was Ai and it's been saved in every
format imaginable to be inserted into header. I've changed the size of logo,
pdf conversion settings...EVERYTHING...Looks great in Word then looks
feathered at top and bottom when converted to PDF. Please help!

The PDF option that has the most effect on this is the ISO-compliance. If
that isn't helping, I don't think there's much you can do.

agj13075 - In a addition to Tony's comments, I tend to get better results
when the image is in a high resolution EPS format, open the .ai file in
Illustratror (?) and save as to EPS. May look crumby in screen when in Word
but the PDF is much better. Give this a try.
