Large desktop icons

I was experimenting with the magnifier that comes with Windows. I also
changed the icon size. I am now using third party software to magnify
the screen. I have turned off the magnifier but I can't get small
icons on the desktop back. The start menu has reverted to normal but
not the desktop icons.

When I run the accessibility wizard the option for using larger fonts
is checked. I can uncheck it, but no changes are made. I get a
message at the finish that says no changes were made. How can I get
back small icons?

go to the display settings in control panel
Appearance>effects(button) and uncheck USE LARGE BUTTONS

if this does not fix it, go to advaced on the same tab (appearance)
and from the "item" drop down box select ICON and in the size
enter 32 press ok
