large attachments

I seem to remember Outlook Express having an option to split up large
attachments into smaller files to send and then reattach them. Does Windows
Mail do this? It refused to send a 40 meg file. What's the limit?

WM does not have a limit, but I'm sure your ISP has a limit,
usually somewhere in the 2-10 MB range.
You can tell WM to break large attachments into chunks:
Tools, Accounts, select the account, Properties, Advanced.
