laptop won't start

when i turn on the laptop, i get the message...a disk read error has occurred
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart
I do that and then the same thing happens...over and over again..
Help please

Hi,

Hard drive may have failed. Download a drive diagnostic tool from the web
site of the manufacturer. Create the bootable disk and load it on the
affected system to get an accurate picture of what's going on.
