I'm using winXP home edtion 2002 Servicepack 2 on a laptop, LG LS50 22LB. My
problem is that, suddenly, TouchPad doesn't work.
Apparently nothing has changed, so I want to know if it is a hardware or
software fail.
I wonder about reinstalling the touchpad (I have download a driver from
my provider (synaptics / LG)) but every time I remove it from the Device
Manager, it does not seems to work in this sense: in Control Panel's Mouse
properties windows's hardware tap "Synaptic PS/2 Port Pointing Device " is
properly working, but the arrow does not move;.
In addtion, when I execute any program that comes with the driver (e.g.
SynZMetr.exe) appears a message that tells something as "could not find
TouchPad", with seems to me , at least, contradictory.
I ask you if there is a way of knowing what exactly happens to that device,
that is if I could find out something that help me between the extremes of I
reinstalling windows or calling the hardware partner.
Thanks in advance
