Laptop/Projector problems

I use a laptop and projector in presentation view. Usually the pictures will
advance simultaneously on both screens but if I touch the pad or try to
modify sequence of slides during the presentation and then return to the
lecture either the projector picture freezes and the laptop advances or vice
versa. If I click "Resume slideshow" the position reverses but does not
return to simultaneous presentation. Can any one help, please?--

Synchronizing the slide design view and the slide show is not a feature of
PowerPoint. You get it till the point when you change the slide on the slide
design view. Beyond this point, the synchronization stops. You can choose to
use the Presenter View since it keeps the laptop's view in-sync with the
slide show but then you lose the ability to modify the slides during the
slide show. Other option is to use PowerShow from
http://officeone.mvps.org/powershow/powershow.html - it keeps the slide
design view always in-sync with the slide show. If you move the slide design
view away from the slide show, and then navigate the slide show, the slide
design view is resynchronized with the slide show.
