laptop not waking after sleep

I have a Vostro 1500 laptop, not using a mouse. I have windows Vista.
Occasionally when computer is in sleep or hibernate mode it will not wake.
Computer is open, power button is on but screen is blank and will not respond
to any keys. Thanks Annette

If your laptop went into Hibernate, it actually shut off (that's
intended!). But turning it on will bring you back to exactly how things
were the moment it went into hibernation. And it will do so quickly.

Regarding Sleep, what exactly are your settings? Perhaps you need to
turn the monitor back on.
