Laptop Monitor dims on battery... Why?

I have an HP Pavilion ze4300. When I unplug my power cord my monitor dims on
my laptop. I do not want it to dim, but I cannot find a setting to adjust
this. Any idea where I can find that? Thanks! Jeff

The BIOS may have a setting to disable it, or the HP Tools or something.

The battery will have a longer cycle if the brightness is decreased when
running on it. Bright means more drain.
