laptop: home, pg up, pg dn, end keys stopped working

Hello,

Recently the home, pg up, pg dn, end keys stopped working on my laptop
which has XP and all critical updates. Also, about a week ago while on
vacation the wireless stopped working and I after I fixed it, the entire
keyboard stopped working which I finally fixed by booting in safe mode
and doing a system restore (unfortunately I don't have that far back
that I can restore to). I could possibly try doing a system restore
again, though maybe there is something I could do first to avoid it? Are
there drivers I can reinstall or something?

I have had the laptop for 6 or 7 years now and should probably consider
reinstalling XP to speed things up, but do not look forward to all that
wasted time to get things set up again.

Thanks,
Ben

Before you do any further System Restores, you need to determine if this is
a hardware or a software problem. Borrow a USB keyboard (perhaps from your
friendly dealer), then see if the problem persists.

Great idea! I have a few and will try it out and report back.
