Laptop Automatically Turns On

I have a new Laptop with Vista Ultimate installed. The laptop is a MSI
system. I usually leave it powered off but plugged into the power adapter
when not in use. About once a week I wake up to find that the laptop has
powered up on its own (it is usually in Sleep mode when I get to it.)

I've looked through the various running processes and I don't see any with
the "wake the PC" option ticked.

I suspect that this has something to do with Windows Updates (I have it set
to "automatic" at 2 AM)? How can I determine exactly what is causing this
automatic wakeup and how can I control it?

Have you checked to make sure that the lan setting in your bios isn't set to
wakeup?
