Language pack question

J

Joe McGuire

I am using OL 2003. I got a routine reply to an e-mail from somebody's
Blackberry (which I know operates through or in connection with an Exchange
Server) but was first greeted by this message:

Language pack Installation
To display language characters correctly you need to install the following
language pack: Korean.

I know the guy (my former partner) and it is a safe bet that he doesn't know
ANY Korean. Neither do I, for that matter. I have occasionally seen this
sort of message before but I can't recall the exact contexts. The language
pack at issue was always something oriental, like Chinese, but I ignored
them as unexplained electronic artifacts or mysteries since there was
nothing about the e-mails that involved anything other than ordinary
American English. Does such a message indicate a problem? Or can I safely
ignore them?

You can safely ignore it if you have no intention at all to solve such a
mystery ;-)
