Windows XP has a problem for more than a year now, where having a language
bar will cause the taskbar from time to time to misbehave, change the order
of the toolbars, and throw in some spare toolbars. The workaround is to shut
down Explorer and restart it, using the task manager.
I know that this is a WindowsXP problem because I encountered it on 4
different computers with different SW configurations.
After XP2, the minimized language bar width got reduced, so that when "EN"
is displayed the right vertical line of the "N" is not displayed.
Does anybody at Microsoft care enough about those issues to fix them? There
are many Language bar users inside Microsoft other than QA. Is anybody
complaining? or is this such a low nuisance level compared to other
emergencies that it is in the noise.
