Kodak Easyshare Email Problems

I have the most recent version of Kodak Easyshare installed on my cumputer
(OS is WinXP) but am unable to email photos from software. The message keeps
saying I need to connect to internet...I'm already connected via high speed
cable. I've talked to Kodak and Internet provider (cox.net) and both say it
should work. By the way everything worked fine on my older computer with
Win98. This is a new Dell computer with Win XP. Any suggestions???

If this is a really new Dell, it has SP2 on it. The Windows Firewall is
on by default with SP2 and I suspect it is on in your case and Kodak
Easyshare is being blocked. Go to the Windows Firewall applet on
Control Panel and add Kodak Easyshare to the Exceptions tab.

Thanks for the help. You were right on target. Your fix worked. Thanks
again.

Oooh! It was the firewall, then. I'm so pleased you got it sorted and I
appreciate that you let me know.

the EasyShare email takes forever.. use your normal email system and attach
the pictures. they will be in a kodak sub directory under mypictures.
