Knowledge Base 318378 problem

Need to re-install IE6 sp1. Followed 318378 thru Method 2, Line 5. Downloaded IE6 sp1 for XP from MS site. Installation started then message, "Software did not pass Logo testing to verify compatibility with XP. IE6 will not be installed". Close all applications and try ie6setup.exe again. I closed apps. and tried repeatively. Same failure. Can anyone assist on this problem?

I followed intructions in art 828031. Could not locate fix KB823559. Found Q831167 that applied to IE and deleted. Still get Logo message when install starts. IE6 will not install.

I followed instructions and performed operations suggested in KB822798 and
snipurl.com/7i5x. Finally got download and install of IE6 to work. Still have my original problem that OE6 won't function properly Can't send or rec. mail. News don't function properly. Re-installing IO6 and OE6 did not correct problem. Thanks to Vincenzo Di Russo. What is my next step? I can still use Outlook 2000. IE6 works fine.
