kicked off internet

I am running OAL optimized 9.0 and just replaced my cable
modem. Every five to six minutes it kicks me off the
internet, and I'm not able to get back on unless I do a
restart. One person said I need to change my timeout
settings, but havent figured out how to do that. Any
ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
 
Right click my computer, properties, hardware tab, device manager, find you
network card, right click it, properties, power management tab, uncheck the
box to allow computer to turn this device off.
