Keyboard shortcut to folder not displaying both panes

XP home edition SP2

I've tried all the settings I know but my keyboard shortcuts to folders
refuse to show both panes.

This is what I get

and this is what I want.

I have to click on the FOLDER button to get the view I want every time.

I have "Use windows classic folders" option selected and tried a bunch of
the other options.
I set the folder to the two pane view before making the shortcuts.
Nothing works.

This is just silly! Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joy

You need to append the following to tell Windows to open the folder with the default Windows Explorer view. For instance, the shortcuts Target line to My Documents would read:

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e, "C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents"

(Note the spaces)

That works! Finally! But I am SO surprised that you have to manually edit
the shortcut. You can customize colors, sounds and all the rest with
buttons and checkboxes so I never dreamed the solution would be something
like this.

But Thank you!
