Keyboard error

Hello Everyone,
At Boot-up I get an error message: "Keyboard error or no keyboard present"
and the Booting process stops.
I have to shot down the computer with the power switch, wait 10 or 15
seconds, then the Booting is back to normal. At the next Booting the
procedure is the same again.
The OS is XP Pro SP2.
What is the solution?
Thank you
SJB

Replace the keyboard, the ps2 port (if applicable), or the motherboard. If
this happens when the system is first powered on, but is ok after a few
minutes of having power applied, then it is typical of a piece of flawed
hardware. Possibly a solder crack that is "cured" once heated up by applied
power and allowed to expand. When cold, it won't work. It also won't get
better, only worse until you replace the faulty component.
