Hello,
At boot-up the computer stops the process and the following error message
coomes up "keyboard error or no keyboard present".
The OS isXP pro.
What is the solution?

Attach a keyboard. :)

Seriously, check the connection first. (Don't just check it, remove
it, check both parts carefully or dust, and re-insert it firmly.)
Then try rebooting.

If that doesn't work, try a different keyboard. If that works, your
other keyboard is bad. If it _doesn't_ work, you have a problem in
your keyboard connector to the motherboard, or in the motherboard
itself.

If you get this message on a laptop, and it persists through the next
reboot you probably need to take the laptop for service. You _might_
be able to get around it, depending on your computer's BIOS, by
attaching an external USB keyboard before powering up, but obviously
that compromises your mobility en if it works.
