Keyboard doing weird things

I recently posted a message saying that I had trouble reinstalling XP due to
viruses and Trojans, I managed to get XP reinstalled but now my keyboard is
doing weird things, I have set the settings to English UK but whenever I go
to write an email address the ampersand and Quotation marks are swapped
about, how can I resolve this problem?

Obviously, buttons are in the wrong place. The &/7 key should be just below
the function keys - not near the Enter key.

Hello,

Ensure that you have selected the correct language at
Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages (tab) >
Details > Installed Services.

Remove the languages which you do not need from this window and see if it
resolves the issue.

Are you using a UK keyboard too? I used to run into this using an US english
keyboard with the UK language selected in the regional options.

To be sure you have the correct language set, goto the control panel in
classic view and select the regional options. Goto the languages tab and
click details. Double check the default input language.
