I recently lost my hard drive with a virus. Gateway
restored the drive with its original configuration
including Windows 98. I have an upgrade version of Windows
2000 Professional which I have used at least three times to
upgrade and then repair windows on the same unit. This
time the computer will not accept the key code for the
upgrade disk. Do these key codes "time out" after so many
uses. If so, what are my options in this situation??

Product Key Codes do not "time out". Make sure you are
entering the Product Key that came with Windows 2000.
Perhaps you are not reading the key correctly. For example:

B or 8, I or 1, G or 5, etc.

Sometimes a magnifying glass is necessary.
