key 7 repeat problem

I'm currently using XP Home Edition Ver 2002 Service Pack 2 and am having a
problem with the number 7 constantly being pressed at odd times when I am not
even pressing the button. It happens during start up, while I am at desktop
and while I am in Microsoft Word. Seems to happen anywhere but at different
times and when it does happen it continues to act as if I have pressed the
number 7 when I have not until I do press the number 7 which makes it stop.

I recently installed some new programs like Visual Studio C++ Express
Edition and some joke software called VirtualViagra. Could this be what is
causing th problem? Can anyone please help me stop this from occuring?

The key is physically stuck down, probably by some dirt. Turn the keyboard
over, and whack it hard a few times on the back. Get some of that canned air,
and spray it out. and so on.

I'd try uninstalling VirtualViagra and see if that helps.

Thanks guys, I have already tried uninstalling the virtualviagra program,
that did not work so I'm going to try banging on the back of the keyboard and
see if it works. I wont really know if it has really worked until after a
week because this problem occurs at odd times.

Thanks for your help guys, let you know if banging on back of keyboard works
for all those that have a similar problem. Where can you buy canned air? Is
it possible to lift the 7 key button off the keyboard to clean it out without
damaging it?
