I purchased a new hard drive. Seagate 200 gb. The cables are on correctly. I
am now trying to load xp and I am receiving an error. Error reads:
kernel_data_inpage_error. It further displays: Stop: 0x0000007a
(0xE124F3F4,0xc000000E,0bbf8ed7dd,0x0x01d860) win32k.sys - address bf8e7dd
Base at BF8000000, Date Stamp 3b7de698. Can anyone tell me what this means???
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi,

Probably a hardware problem. The new drive may be defective. Recheck jumpers
and reseat cabling. Also, do not use the Seagate software to set up the
drive, leave it blank and allow XP setup to do that.
