Keeping Text Together

In Word 2007, I have a document that has a list of items. This list has a
heading for each and a short paragraph under the heading. The heading has a
hard return after (a paragraph mark). I want to keep the text of the
paragraph togehter with the heding. I went into the paragraph group dialog
box and checked the "Keep Text Together" box but it doesn't do anything.
What am I missing?

You need to select the Heading paragraph, then choose FORMAT | PARAGRAPH and
on choose the option "KEEP WITH NEXT". This will keep the Heading with the
next paragraph.

NOTE: If your text looks like this:

HEADING
<blank line>
The paragraph of text following the heading.

Then you need to also set the "KEEP WITH NEXT" on the blank line that
separates the heading and the paragraph of text.

There's a "Keep with Next" and a "Keep Lines Together" setting. Neither are
going to appear to do anything unless that text goes from the end of one
page to the beginning of the next.

What you should be doing is changing your setting in the header.

YES! This worked!

I just never tried selecting just the heading and click the "Keep with
next". I was just thinking too hard... or not hard enough... ha!
THANKS A BUNCH!
