keeping existing profile

Is there a way to keep your existing profile in XP Pro/Desktop when you
change Domains on a network?
 
Not really - the profile is linked to your SID, which changes when you
move... There are ways to move it (ADMT), and you can copy your old content
over the new content... But there is no way to have it just linked for
you...
 
Active Directory Migration Tool - search on microsoft.com and ye shall find
plenty of articles on it.
