Keep "read" msg marked as "unread" after reading

How do I keep my new messages to remain marked as "unread" after selecting to
read them and only to be marked as read after double clicking, etc.
 
Use the preview window for reading them, and set the time until they are
marked as read to a really high value.

However, this is an MS Access - a database program - forum, so you'll get
better answers to your questions in an e-mail related/Outlook forum.
