This may sound stupid....but how do you locate a specific
knowledgebase article??? I'm trying to find KB827363; as
specified by MS in thier Bulletin recived todays, but no
matter what permutation of search I use, I can't find
anywhere on microsoft site(s).!!!!!!.

This leads me onto problem that this article is aligned
to. A friend laptop has been caught with the Blaster
virus. I've run both Stinger and fixblaster and removed
Blaster.D and Nachi. I'm still seeing svchost.exe error,
unable to access update site to scan and find update
status and whether SP2 installed for MSO-026 patch. This
patch is available (downloaded from own machine) There
are other problems which I attribute to virus activity
such as cannot drag/drop, copy/paste, cut/paste, copy to
folder in win explorer hence could not transfer removal
tools and patch from USB removable disc to friends PC.
Also machine has PC-cillin 7 installed but cannot get
this to connect to Trend server to update - personally
don't think any updates have occured and possible why
caught. I've re-installed 2000 (plus SP2), and PC-cillin
but svchost.exe error still shows and AV still can't
connect to update site. Running stinger etc does not
detect any virus remaining.

Can anyone help ???????????

Note that a new update is now released, MS03-039 that closes three new-found
RPC vulnerabilities. MS03-039 supersedes and incorporates the MS03-026 patch.
