before yesterday (september 30), Outlook 2003 moved junk mail to the junk
mail folder. That stopped and I am wondering what is wrong. the level of
protection is set to "High." if anyone knows a workaround or the solution to
the problem, i would appreciate having the information. Thanks

Have you installed service pack 1 for Office 2003?
Are you connecting to an Exchange server? If so, then you must be in Cache
mode for this to work.

I installed service pack 1 for office 2003. junk mails were moved before and
after the installation. it just "mysteriously" stopped working yesterday.
Pardon my ignorance, how do I get to the "cache mode"?
Thanks

Go to Control Panel-->Mail icon-->Email Accounts-->View or
Change....Next-->Change button you will have a check mark here for Cache mode.

Thanks. The Cache mode does not feature there and there is no place for a
check mark. Further assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks again.

I just had to reinstall Outlook, and I'm running into the same problem...but,
only with IMAP accounts. My POP account(s) are allowing the junk email to go
into the correct folder, but on IMAP after downloading the headers I can
click on a message and it'll put a line through the message on the list, but
it wouldn't automatically do this and move it to the Junk Mail Folder. Now,
when I told Outlook to download the whole message from the IMAP server it did
as it is supposed to. However, I don't remember having that setting the
first time I had to install the app.

Any thoughts? Bad settings? And, also, I didn't see anything about Cache
in OL2003, either (running XP Pro SP2)

TIA
