Junk Mail Filter Intuitive??

Is the junk mail filter in Outlook 2003 intuitive. Meaning, if I move a
message from the inbox to the junk mail box, does it learn that that sender
should be automatically sent to the junk mail box when I recieve another
message from that sender?
If it is not, am I wasting my time moving it to junk mail box?

Thanks-

No and yes respectively.

What you are describing is more of a bayesian type solution that you train
over time. One such solution would be SpamBayes.
