Junk email filter

I have seen several posts about the Outlook junkmail filter ceasing to work.
I have a network that runs Windows Server 2003 SBS and Exchange 2005. They
are running Windows XP on their workstations. One of the users can not get
her junk mail filter to filter anything. It used to work and then all of the
sudden quit. I have checked her settings and made sure she didn't accidently
set it to allow all of the addresses or her own. It all checks out good. I
have uninstalled the latest junk email filter update. In fact, I had done
that several times and reapplied it to no avail. I have repaired her Office
install through detect and repair and through add/remove programs. I have
also uninstalled Office and reinstalled it. She still get s junk email in
her inbox and nothing gets filtered. What else can I look at to correct this
error. Thanks!!

Do you allow Windows Update to install updates automatically? There are times
when installing a Junk E-mail filter update can break the Junk E-mail filter
and the usual fix is to uninstall the update and reinstall it.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the junk email filter. I am not positive
about the cached mode. I was not the tech who set the system up so I will
have to look into it when I get onsite next. If it is not in cached mode,
could that be the problems then? I am sure all mail boxes are setup the same
way. Thanks.

Yes. When using an Exchange account, cached mode is required for the junk
mail filter to work.
