Joiner for Video Files

Hi All,

I have several short video clips that I would like to join into one file and
burn to a DVD. These clips are from TV shows recorded from Windows Media
Center 2005. The files have the dvr-ms extension. Does anyone know if
there is a freeware program that will combine dvr-ms files?

I know I could convert the dvr-ms files to mpg files and then join them with
a mpg joiner such as CombiMovie, but this might reduce the video quality.

Thanx,

I'd try TMPGenc [trialware, that turns into a freeware version, but
with limited fetures, meaning that after 30 days you won't get MPEG-2].
It does a wonderful job of joining. Also, look at the freeware prog V
irtualDub [and VirtualDubMod]. You'll find links to download and full
helps & you can search for other freeware to do this at::

Use Avicodec to determine the codec used. If they are MPEG2 (dvd) or MPEG1,
you can join them with TMPGenc 12a.
