JAVA VM

I play bridge @ POGO.com alot which requires JVM. Since Nov 21,2004...I can't seem to load any games using my SBC Yahoo browser ( which has spam and pop-up blockers).
So, I had to use Internet Explorer instead and had to suffer those nerve wrecking pop-ups.

Does anyone have a solution?
Another thing...what is the best was to reload Windows XP?
Do I Uninstall then Install?
