Japanese language support

I was wonderring how I can get my computer set up to
display the japanese characters. I use windows media
player to listen to imported music and it does not
support the listings, niether does Internet Explorer, and
I need my computer to display the infromation since I am
studying the language.. So I guessed this was due to the
fact I don't have a language package installed, but I
have not been able to find one that seemed to be 100%
compatible. I do not want to change my base language, I
jus want to be able to display the information.
