Japanese CHaracter Support for Windows XP

Hi . Can anyone tell me which version of Windows XP will support Japanese
text, both for viewing and for typing? I am shopping for a new computer for
my wife, who is Japanese and needs the language support. I've heard XP
Professional does, but most of the systems I'm looking at come with XP Media
Edition.

Also, can anyone give quick instructions on how do type in Japanese or
provide a relevant link?

I think all versions of Windows XP will support Japanese.

All versions of XP support these features.
