I've lost all of my Outlook mail when changing computers

I recently had problems with my computer and had to re-install my windows XP.
When I also re-installed my microsoft Office Student & Teacher Edition, all
of my mail from before was gone. Doesn't it just sit in the mailbox like
hotmail?
Is there a way I can recover it?

Sorry, but this newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database
product that's part of Office Professional.

You'd be best off reposting your question to a newsgroup related to whatever
e-mail client you were using (Outlook? Outlook Express?)
